SHOW PREVIEW… “Undaunted courage.” That phrase from the Lewis and Clark journals became the title of Stephen Ambrose’s book about their expedition. They had a determination no adversity could shake. Zebulon Pike and his men brought the same kind of backbone to their exploration of Colorado for Jefferson in 1806, as noted in my latest Denver Post column.

The election debacle now puts Republicans and conservatives to the test: Is our courage daunted by this adversity? It must not be, say I. So let’s have a gut check on Sunday’s edition of “Backbone Radio with John Andrews.”

The show marks our second anniversary on the air, and we’ll be live on location at Lodo’s in Highlands Ranch, SE corner of C-470 & Quebec, 5-8pm on Sunday, Nov. 12. Stop by our birthday party if you can, otherwise catch us by broadcast or online. You’re warmly invited!

** Congressman-elect Doug Lamborn and Secretary of State-elect Mike Coffman, two of the GOP winners from Tuesday (when there weren’t very many), will join me for a review of the campaign and a look ahead.

** Jay Ambrose, conservative columnist for the Rocky Mountain News, and Mike Littwin, one of the Rocky’s liberal columnists, will stop by with their contrasting analysis of Colorado’s big blue tide.

** And Prof. Andrew Busch, the ex-DU political scientist now at Claremont McKenna College, weighs in on the current Republican difficulties from his perspective as a Reagan biographer.

“Backbone Radio with John Andrews” is the most principled, most patriotic, most faith-based, most Colorado-proud spot on your weekend radio dial. We’re now at 105 Sundays and counting. Conservatives have never needed this show more than right now, as we dig out after the 2006 tsunami. See you Sunday!

Yours for self-government,
JOHN ANDREWS
