Mr. Andrews: I sent the following to each of my state representatives and the govenor (S26, H38).
Thank you for your service.
Dear ———- As my state representative I would like you to act correctly on each of these issues as follows and to do everything in your power to get the state congress to follow these positions:
1. Property Tax. By any name or any legal maneuvering an increase in payments from homeowners to the state is an increase in taxes and must be stopped. Taxes are out of control and “backdoor” increases against the mandate of the people is wrong and deceitful.
2. Iraq War. A state congress or state institution or state representative or any type has no business expressing its/their believe in U.S. foreign policy especially when it deals in a very direct way with any armed conflict or war that this country is in. Even if that view is a minority or majority view it does nothing but undermine the policy and position of this country whether it is in favor or whether it is against such policy.
