Thanks for the voter guide, John. I don't know where I would have gotten this information had I not heard your radio show today. I only get to vote on the CC School District directors and the term limits and I'm with you on both of these.

As a departing, term-limited member of the Board of Education for the Cherry Creek School District, I think I understand the qualifications that are essential to uphold the traditions of the District. These are qualities of integrity, passion for public education, caring about our children, and an unparalleled commitment to the continued excellence of the District. These qualities in current and past Board members are typically exemplified by a person’s dedication to Cherry Creek Schools through volunteer activities and extensive parental experiences within the District’s schools.

After carefully reviewing the experiences and qualifications of the four candidates that are running for two contested seats on the Board of Education (and because school board races are nonpartisan, I don’t consider party affiliation to be that relevant), I have concluded that Steve de Carteret, a Board member for the past year and long-time District volunteer, as well as Jim O’Brien, the most recent Chair of the Cherry Creek Schools Foundation, deserve our votes in their quest to continue the tradition of excellence of Cherry Creek Schools.

I won't support anyone that can't follow the rule of law. In this case, I won't support the 200 question, O'Brien, or deCarteret. All of them have placed illegal signs in Centennial. If they can't follow the law, they don't deserve my vote. We are a nation of laws!

What are your picks for Littleton School Board? I know nothing about any of them--pick 2-- Mary Nichols, Rick Sutton, Pat Wojahn, Lucie Stanish
