Radio, Nov. 26: Beautiful for pilgrim feet

Join us on radio every Sunday, 5-8pm on 710 KNUS, Denverand now also on 1460 KZNT, Colorado Springs To listen online from anywhere, click 710knus.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- "O beautiful for pilgrim feet, whose stern, impassioned stress a thoroughfare for freedom beat across the wilderness." America's beauty is in her ideals, truths, and traditions, even more than in the plains and mountains that we love. Thanksgiving is one of those, the Pilgrim feast that holds on as a 21st-century holiday, and I hope you had a happy one.

Our forefathers' westward push ultimately reached the continental divide and Backbone Colorado USA. There in my hometown of the heart our family gathered yesterday. From there on Sunday we'll once again bring you "Backbone Radio with John Andrews." We too are impassioned about freedom, as every topic and guest this week will testify.

** Denver Post columnist David Harsanyi and ballot integrity expert Al Kolwicz will join me to talk about lessons of the 2006 election and prospects for 2007.

** I'll discuss the view from the Right with actor and columnist Joseph C. Phillips and scholar Bruce Frohnen, editor of the new encyclopedia on American conservatism.

** And Heritage High School senior Alex Chandler, elected "Governor of Colorado" by 100 of his peers at a youth convention at the Capitol this week, offers his State of the State.

Matt Dunn also returns to the Backbone microphone after 8 months' campaign leave. Joshua Sharf will help me knock the rust off his studio skills. Krista Kafer is on assignment in Wyoming, but don't miss her latest blog at BackboneAmerica.net.

Our show is the most principled, most patriotic, most faith-based, most Colorado-proud spot on your weekend radio dial. I encourage you to listen in and call in. The chance to exchange ideas with fellow Americans like you is one of things I'm most thankful for.

Yours for self-government, JOHN ANDREWS
