Bible Friday 10/21: Need a Break

Psalm 31:1-24. In what way am I broken before God (verse 12, KJV)? What in me isn’t yet broken but needs to be? What do I want him to do with my broken places?

Nehemiah 8:1-18. What could we be doing at my church to become as hungry and heartsick for God’s word in Scripture as the people in verses 8-9?

Philippians 2:19-30. With whom do I have something of the spiritual father-son bonding that Paul, Timothy, and Epaphroditus had?  Have I thanked them? What are the mutual benefits to us?

Luke 14:15-24. What specific invitation from God might I be ducking right now, and with what specific excuses (verses 18-20)?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the  St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Click and see what you think. Where is your self-examination leading today?
