Bible Monday 10/31: Lessons from Noah

Psalm 56:1-13. If God cares enough about me to record my every tear in his ledger, my every ache in his book (verse 8, Message), how can I bring all that to him more unreservedly in prayer?

Isaiah 5:1-30. Prayer: Lord, how can I serve you better in calling out, and fighting off, those in America today who call evil good, and good evil (verse 20)?

James 2:1-13. Will I go out of my way, out of my comfort zone, to show at least one individual today that Jesus' faithful followers express equal kindness to rich persons and poor?

Luke 17:20-37. What's involved in living from hour to hour on this Monday in readiness for Christ's return.  How are these times like Noah's or Lot's times? What warning is in that for me?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Click and see what you think.  Where is your self-examination leading today?
