Bible Monday 2/20: Wisdom's Voice

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 106:1-48. Taking "nevertheless" (verses 8 and 44, KJV) as a flag of God's gracious patience and mercy with all of us, when have I received from him much more kindness than I deserved?

Proverbs 1:1-33. In what form might the enticement of sin (verse 10) and the voice of wisdom (verse 20) seek my attention today? Specifically what danger and what opportunity should I be alert for?

Romans 8:23-30. What situation in my life right now most needs all things to align for God's good purpose (verse 28)?

Matthew 13:1-11. Related to the Proverbs question above: In what everyday guise do thieving birds (verse 4) and choking weeds (verse 7) attack the seeds Jesus has planted in me?
