Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalm 95:1-11. In what way do I most need to experience God's rest right now (verse 11)? What might I currently be doing, or not doing, to exclude myself from it (verse 10)?
Proverbs 12:1-28. Who that is heavy of heart might I bless with a good word today (verse 25, KJV)? How shall I go about doing that before I sleep tonight?
Romans 12:1-8. In what attitudes and actions am I too much conformed to this world (verse 2)? Whose counsel might I seek about it? What's one step toward a transformed mind?
Matthew 14:22-33. When have I been pulled between faith and fear as Peter was here? How did it turn out? What did I learn?
