Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalm 52:1-9. In what ways am I like a green tree planted in God (verse 8)? In what ways am I not? Action points?
Proverbs 15:1-33. Who do I know that exemplifies a merry heart (verses 13, 15, KJV)? Is it by chance or from God? Does it transcend circumstance? Any lesson for me?
Romans 13:8-14. What's something new, something bold, something out of the box that I can do today to love my neighbor as God requires?
Matthew 15:12-20. Even though I wasn't raised to eat kosher like Peter, what lesson does Jesus have for me here? For me! How do I measure up on verse 19?
