Bible Sunday 4/23: Thomas Believes

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 147:1-20. How can I give God pleasure today (verses 10-11)?14. As he sees me, what matters to him? What does not matter? Action point?

Song of Solomon 8:1-14. After a week in this divinely disturbing book, can I let God seal my heart today (verse 5) with love to Jesus the Bridegroom and the church (me included) as his Bride?

I Peter 2:13-25. What would it look like if I and my church approached the realm of civil government as taught here, more in serving meekly than in claiming our rights?

John 20:19-31. When have I experienced anything like Thomas's skepticism and unbelief?  How did Jesus revive my faith? What did I learn?
