Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalm 12:1-8. What is there in my thought, speech, or conduct that expresses a double heart toward God (verse 2, KJV)? Action point for today?
Exodus 3:1-22. When have I felt unworthy or unable to do what God was requiring of me (verses 11-14)? How did it turn out? What did I learn?
Acts 7:30-36. Have I ever had the sense of standing on holy ground? What "shoes" did I have to take off? How did it change me?
John 3:22-36. By what attitudes and actions could I become identified as a friend of Christ the Bridegroom (verse 29)? How would fellow believers know? How would non-believers know?
