Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalm 16:1-11. Looking at verse 11, has God showed me the path of life? Am I experiencing his joy? Is there more? What does Easter have to do with any of this?
Zechariah 14:1-21. What do the kingdom prophecies of verses 7-9 have to do with these times in which Allah seems to overshadow Christ and materialism seems to overshadow both?
Habakkuk 3:1-19. Over what specific need in my life today shall I pray for God's revival and mercy (verse 2), his strength and uplift (verse 19)?
Matthew 27:62-66. Over what evil purpose do the earthly powers believe their dominion is assured, sealed and guarded? What stone shall I pray to see God roll away today?
