Bible Thursday 5/18: His Pattern

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 71:1-24. Is my life horizon defined too much by measuring age and too little by trusting and thanking God (verses 9, 17, 18)? Prayer point for today?

Exodus 25:1-40. Related question: Am I confident that God has for the entirety of my existence and experience a pattern (verses 9, 40) equally detailed and glorious as the one given here?

I Corinthians 6:1-11. When have I seen, or been part of, a bitter dispute between Christians who should have known better? What did I learn? Application for right now?

John 7:25-39. What am I most thirsty for at this time in my life and Christian walk (verse 37)? In what practical form would desire the living water that Jesus promises?
