Bible Monday 6/26: Stephen's Defense

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 89:1-52. Verse 14, KJV, justice has been called the highest aim of all government. Where in my life, our country, or our world do I see God's justice most lacking right now? Prayer point?

Leviticus 21:1-24. Setting this rule for avoiding various women and men of fallen status, and the dead, against the record of Jesus' ministry, what do we learn about him?

Acts 6:8 - 7:8. What qualities of Stephen as a Christian evangelist and Bible believer shall I ask God to stir up in me today?

Mark 2:18-22. What is Jesus' self-description as the bridegroom supposed to mean for me as a man? What guidance for me and my church is found in his parable of the old garment and old bottles?
