Bible Saturday 7/15: Caleb's Courage

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 116:1-19. Verse 15, who has recently experienced the death of a loved one, and might be in need of God's comfort from me today?

Numbers 13:1-33. Verse 30, what spiritual qualities were in Caleb that I could emulate to gain something of the exceptional discernment God gave him?

Acts 13:32-41. Here is the old-time religion, Jesus as the best thing to get in on (verse 32) and the worst thing to miss out on (verse 40). Am I on that bus or some newer one?

Mark 6:45-52. Verse 52, what did Jesus want them to learn from these two miracles, that they didn't get? What have I been slow to learn from him? Action point?
