Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalm 8:1-9. Verse 5, if made a little lower than the angels, why do I feel vastly lower than that? Saved by Jesus Christ and grateful for it, how can I mature a little more in him today?
Numbers 28:1-31. Verses 22 and 30, related: a better atonement having been made for me at the Cross, in what practical ways can I live into my new and sinless identity right now?
Acts 17:22-34. Verse 31, always mindful of obeying Jesus as Lord, do I think enough about one day facing him as Judge? How might that change the way I live?
Mark 10:23-31. Verse 30, if a life truly devoted to the gospel involves both benefits and persecutions, and I'm not experiencing the latter, what should I be doing differently?
