Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalm 48:1-14. If Zion, God's holy city, is the joy of the whole earth (verse 2, KJV), what am I missing in paying it so little attention? How can this psalm help me know Zion better?
Numbers 23:1-30. Verse 23, how do I particularly need today, the protection here guaranteed ti God's people against mental or spiritual attack?
Acts 16:6-15. Verses 6-7, when has the Holy Spirit emphatically told me no and forced a change of plans? What form did the message take? Application for today?
Mark 8:31 - 9:1. Verse 38, while not openly admitting I'm ashamed of Jesus and his words, do I sometimes act that way. How does it subtly occur? Prayer point?
