Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalm 18:1-50. Verse 29, what wall do I need to get over right now? What big obstacle am I stuck at without God's help? Prayer for today?
Numbers 11:1-35. Verses 11-15, who do I know in ministry or any other post of duty that may be at the end of their rope right now? By God's grace how can I come to their aid?
Acts 13:4-12. Paul with the sorcerer, like Jesus with the Legion, confronts the devil. Am I adept or inept at spiritual warfare? Active or passive? Steps to take today?
Mark 6:1-13. Same topic, Jesus' apostles are empowered for spiritual warfare (verse 7) and victorious in it (verse 13). Shall I ask God for that power and get busy with it?
