Bible Tuesday 8/22: Let's Go

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 122:1-9. Verse 1 KJV, what are some reasons people can be glad when they gather at my church? What are some obvious areas for improvement? What am I doing about it?

Joshua 15:1-63. Verses 16-19, what is God-honoring about the custom of arranged marriages such as this one? What is God-honoring about today's self-chosen marriage customs?

Acts 23:11-22. We don't know Paul's nephew by name, but God used him to save the apostle's life. When did someone play an anonymous but divinely appointed role in blessing me?

Mark 14:22-31. Why is the holy communion, the Eucharist, important to me? How can I go deeper with this sacrament? Prayer point?
