Bible Thursday 9/21: Why, O Lord?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 74:1-23. Verse 1, again the Psalms give us permission to be real with God, in this case by asking him why. Is there a "why" I want to bring him today? Prayer point?

Judges 21:1-25. Kidnapped brides notwithstanding, what a turn from the slaughter in Chapter 20 to the reconciliation here. What dramatic reconciliation have I been part of? What did I learn?

Colossians 4:2-18. Verse 3 KJV, with whom do I long to share the Gospel, "a door of utterance to speak the mystery of Christ"?  Prayer for today? Action point?

Luke 6:37-42. Verse 42, what's unlovely in someone else, that bothers me, but the same flaw may be even more pronounced in myself? Is Jesus just giving advice here, or teaching theology?
