Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 141:1-10. Verse 5, when have I been sharply rebuked by someone urging me to turn back to God? What did I learn? Present application?
Ezra 9:1-15. Is my church, or the whole church on earth today, in any comparable violation of God’s covenant to what Ezra addresses here?
Galatians 1:1-10. Related question, in what disguises does “another gospel” my walk with Christ, or that of fellow Christians? Is my church vigilant about this?
Luke 7:18-35. Verses 32-34, related again, how do moods, fads, and superficialities attempt to distract me from Jesus, the gospel, and my duty as a disciple? Action point for today?
