Bible Thursday 11/29: What to Wear

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 132:1-18. Verses 16 and 18 KJV, looking at the way I “clothe” my heart and mind, what does Jesus see? Is it pleasing or displeasing to him?

Isaiah 34:1-17. God’s proclamation to the world, his book of judgment. With such a context for news and current events, how would I think and act differently?

Revelation 4:1-11. Verse 8, what is God’s holiness to me? Does it make him seem nearer to me or more distant? Am I trying to attain holiness? What would that involve, hour by hour today?

Luke 19:11-27. What is one new commitment or change I could make for 2019, to use more fully in God’s service the gifts he has given me? First step?
