Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 60:1-12. Verse 4 KJV, what words of God's truth do I want on my banner today? What lies am I asking him to counteract?
Jeremiah 22:1-30. Verse 3, God will measure them not by religion and piety but by doing justice and mercy. Honestly how well do I measure up? How well does my church?
Romans 8:1-11. Verse 11, what does it mean in practical ways for my life here and now, to have resurrection power dwelling in me through the Holy Spirit?
Matthew 13:10-17. Verse 11 KJV, what does Jesus mean by the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven? Could I give a teenager some examples in my own words? What good are they to me?
