Bible Wednesday 3/7: Signs of the Times

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 82:1-8. Verse 6 KJV, what was Jesus saying about you and me as human beings when he quoted this verse in John 10:34? What truth is here than I can rely on today?

Jeremiah 35:1-19. Commendation of the Rechabites' fidelity to their father. How has godliness been handed down to me by my family, or how am I handing it down to my descendants?

Romans 12:9-21. Christ is not mentioned, but this is how a Christian lives. Which of these precepts for conduct shall I especially try to improve in, from now to Easter?

Matthew 16:1-12. Verse 3, what signs of these times does Jesus want me to discern? Promising or concerning signs, examples of each? What am I then called to do about them?
