Bible Thursday 5/31: One Way

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 37:1-40. Verses 1, 7, 8 KJV, why is God displeased when we fret? What do I tend to fret about? What is God's antidote??

I Samuel 12:1-25. Samuel's tough love in farewell sermon. What individual or institution today best warns us to fear a just and holy God? Does this convict me or put me off?

Acts 4:1-12. Once afraid of a servant girl, Peter fearlessly confronts the rulers. Have I seen God transform anyone this way? Verse 12, no other name, do I have a "Jesus and" mixed faith?

John 12:37-41. Why don't Jesus' miracles convince the hard heart? What's needed to reach such a person? Who do I know in that situation? What can I do for them, God helping me?
