Tuesday 5/8: Integrity & Skill

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 78:1-72. Verse 72 KJV, what am I guaranteed by the integrity of God's heart? What broken or tangled situation can I entrust to the skillfulness of his hands?

Ezekiel 38:1-23. Verse 22 KJV, when people talk against fire and brimstone, are they improving on the Bible or missing its truth? What are fire and brimstone to me?

Ephesians 2:11-18. How can I pray these verses for the healing of racial animosity and religious hatreds in America and the world?

John 14:25-31. Verse 26, how can the Holy Spirit help me understand Scripture better? Verse 31, what foothold does Satan, the prince of this world, have in me? What's the remedy?
