Bible Tuesday 6/19: Gone Cold?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 78:1-72. Verse 24, what's the closest I've ever come to being miraculously fed with God's manna? Was he answering my faith or disproving my doubt (verse 19)? Application?

I Samuel 31:1-13. When have I seen a notable servant of God come to a sad end by his own stumbles? What lessons for keeping the faith can I take from the tragedy of King Saul?

Acts 11:27 - 12:4. James martyred, Peter arrested and perhaps next to die. When have I been in despair and tempted to give up? How did it turn out? Application?

Matthew 24:1-14. Verses 12-14, a warning, a promise, and a mission, How well pleased is Jesus with me and my church obeying this? How much does he want me to focus on the end times?
