Bible Sunday 9/23: Anointed

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 34:1-22. Verse 15 KJV, in the past 24 hours, what did God see me do that pleased him? That displeased him? What did he hear me say that pleased him? That displeased him?

Job 30:1-31. When have I been mocked or laughed at? How did God show up? What did I learn? Present application?

II Corinthians 11:5-21. Verse 14, how do Satan and his servants, agents of darkness, disguise themselves to me as bringers of light? Prayer point?

Luke 4:14-22. Verses 18 and 19, six elements of Jesus’ messianic ministry as foretold by Isaiah. Which of these do I or someone dear to me, most need from the Lord today?
