Bible Tuesday 9/25: Spirit

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 78:1-72. Verses 3-8, looking back a couple of generations in my family, and ahead a couple, who was in the chain handing on the faith? Who wasn’t, at least not yet?

Job 32:1-22. Verse 8, when have I felt it was the Holy Spirit, not my own human ability, enabling me to know, speak, and act for the best at a time of need?

II Corinthians 12:1-10. Verse 9, related, when has God’s strength come to the rescue of my weakness? Verse 8, what is my thorn in the flesh? Prayer point?

Luke 4:31-37. Verse 33, comparing to verse 29, why did the devil recognize God’s Son when his own neighbors didn’t? Application to our present times? My role?
