Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 44:1-25. Verse 8 KJV, what is my proudest personal boast, spoken or unspoken? Today how can I silence this and boast in God instead?
II Chronicles 4:1-22. Now that God intends each Christian to be his holy temple, what are some details of the glorious design and decor he is realizing in me?
James 2:1-13. Verse 8, what would it look like today for me to go out of my way and inconvenience myself to love my neighbor?
Luke 13:18-21. God’s kingdom at work in us, seen and unseen. In what way visible to others am I becoming more of a kingdom servant? In what way known to myself alone am I being “leavened” for God?
