Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 50:1-23. Verse 17 KJV, do I in any way disregard God’s instruction or despise his words? Action point?
II Chronicles 7:1-22. Verse 14, sometimes taken as a blueprint for revival in America, with political as well as religious implications. What does it actually ask of, and promise to, me and other Christians?
James 3:13-4:6. Verse 3 KJV, asking amiss and receiving not. How do my recent prayers measure up by this standard?
Luke 14:1-6. Jesus again, as in Luke 13:15, warns of valuing humans less than animals. How does the morality of today, secular and religious alike, measure up vy this standard? Why the inversion? My response?
