Bible Saturday 11/9: Safe Space for Real

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 27:1-14. Verse 5, what would it actually look like today for God to hide me from approaching trouble? What’s required of me to claim this promise?

II Chronicles 16:1-14. Verse 10, the king, as it were, shoots the messenger. When have I done this, or seen it done? Present application?

I Thessalonians 4:1-8. As God is ever at work in me for sanctification (verses 3 and 4 KJV) and holiness (verse 7), what’s the cutting edge of that process right now, the immediate challenge he’s giving me?

Luke 16:1-13. Verse 13, related question, what master other than God have I been trying to serve? How have I rationalized this? Action point for today?
