Bible Thursday 11/7: He Loves the Unborn

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 71:1-24. Verse 6, what was there in my birth and infancy that shows God knew me before I ever knew him? Or what bad thing happened then, that I need God to help me cast off for new birth in him?

II Chronicles 14:1-15. Verse 11, Asa declares no odds, no enemy, are too great for God to overcome. Application for me today?

I Thessalonians 2:13-20. Verse 19, who are some names, in my family and beyond, that I take special joy in helping draw nearer to Jesus? Prayer point?

Luke 15:8-10. Verse 8, sweeping diligently to find the lost. What does this say about the character of God in rescuing sinners, and the approach I should take in our broken world? Anyone in particular?
