Bible Saturday 10/12: Good Samaritan

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 104:1-35. Verses 19-24, rhythm of our days and nights, our work and our rest. Am I on pace with God in my daily activities and routine, or out of step with him? Action point?

I Chronicles 17:1-27. God resets David’s plans. When have I had a sudden realization that His purpose must override mine? Who has been a Nathan to me, a messenger of God’s reset for my life?

Ephesians 1:15-23. Verses 17-19, may God open your eyes to his riches, his power. Who especially needs me to pray this prayer for them today?

Luke 10:25-37. Verse 36, what neighbor in need can I lovingly reach out to today?
