Bible Saturday 11/23: Lion and Lamb

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 33:1-22. Verses 10 and 11 KJV, looking at my present situation in life, what does the counsel of the heathen have to say about it? Then what does the counsel of God have to say? Which shall I heed today?

II Chronicles 30:1-27, Hezekiah summons Judah and Israel to reunite for Passover; some mock. What is my church doing to knit the Body of Christ back together? My role?

Revelation 5:1-14. Verses 5 and 6, what specifically do I need from Jesus today in his office as the Lion? And in his office as the Lamb? How shall I make myself ready for these answers to prayer?

Luke 19:11-27. How will the choice confront me today between hoarding the gifts Jesus has entrusted to me, or multiplying them? Action point?
