Bible Friday 12/20: King of Kings

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119;129-176. Verse 163, what are some lies widely told at Christmastime about God and his creation? How do I refute them? Why does it matter?

Daniel 12:1-13. Verse 3, among people I know, who fits this description as witnesses for God and benefactors to humanity? What’s the first step for me to become more like them in 2020?

Revelation 19:11-21. Jesus as a fierce warrior and righteous judge. What has he to do with the babe in the manger? What battles do I need for him to fight and win for me today? My role?

Mark 13:28-37. Verse 31, what everlasting words of Christ shall I dwell with at this intense and stressful holiday season?
