Bible Monday 3/4: Actions Speak Louder

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 25:1-22. Verses 5, 8, 12, what has God been trying to teach me lately? What is his teaching method? How am I doing? What would an A grade look like?

Proverbs 10:1-32. Verse 19, in what situations am I prone to say too much? What opportunity can I find today to let my actions speak louder than my words?

Romans 12:1-9. Verses 6-8, which of these gifts has God given me? Am I actively dealing with him about it, or just coasting along? What achievable goal can I set, to use it more to his glory?

Matthew 15:21-28. A mother’s prayer, selfless toward her child and selfless toward Jesus. How can I make my prayer today more like hers?
