Bible Saturday 3/23: Vision and Law

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 27:1-14. Verse 14, what situation in my life right now calls for courage? How is the courage of a Christian different from that of anyone else?

Proverbs 29:1-27. Verse 18, often quoted as a fragment, seldom as a whole. Why does God join vision and law? What institutions in our society are faithful to that? What am I doing about it?

Galatians 3:1-14. Verse 1 KJV, how does the worldly mind attempt to bewitch me and take my eyes off Jesus? When I fall for it, what are the symptoms? What’s the antidote?

Matthew 19:23-30. Verse 24, how are earthly priorities and possessions obstructing me from the kingdom of God? Verse 29, what would this 100:1 reward look like in my experience — or was Jesus exaggerating?
