Bible Thursday 4/18: New Commandment

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 142:1-7. Verse 3 KJV, what seems overwhelming to me right now? What is God’s remedy for that?

Zechariah 12:1-14. Verse 10 KJV, look upon him that they pierced. What attitudes or habits of mine identify me with those who nailed Jesus to the cross? Action point?

John 13:1-38. Verse 14, whose feet can I wash in Christ’s name today or someday soon?

Matthew 26:17-56. Verses 38-41, does Jesus require watchfulness from me here and now, equally as he did from his disciples in the garden? If yes, what does that look like?
