Bible Saturday 4/27: Focal Point

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 145:1-21. Verse 15, what does it mean to keep my eyes on God, when I need them for so many other things, and he is invisible anyway? What attitude or mental focus does this require from me?

Song of Solomon 7:1-13. Verse 10 KJV, what is the desire of Jesus toward me?

I Peter 2:1-12. Verse 2, needing God as a newborn baby needs milk. Even now, is this my situation? If yes, what do I need to “nurse” on from his word?

John 1:15-34. Verse 23, quoting Isaiah 40:3, make straight the way of the Lord. For me to live by this all day today, what would it involve?
