Bible Tuesday 6/25: Fishers of Men

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 94:1-23. Verses 7-11, what have I done or said or thought in the last 24 hours that I knew God would disapprove, foolishly assuming he would not see or hear or know? Prayer point?

Leviticus 15:1-33. If anciently from Moses’ time to Jesus’ time, God’s requirements touched on people’s physical health, why is it far less so today? Is this an opportunity for my church? My own role?

Acts 3:1-10. Verse 6, famously quoted to rebuke the church in later times for amassing wealth and power but neglecting its ministry to souls and bodies. By that yardstick, how can my church do better?

Mark 1:12-20. Verse 17, what are some tools, skills, and strategies I must have to become an effective fisher of men? Persons I might approach? Action point for today?
