Bible Saturday 7/13: Barnabas's Moment

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 116:1-19. Verse 15, God’s precious dead. Whose name, among dear ones that have died, is on my heart? What can I do for others today that will honor that person’s legacy?

Numbers 6:1-27. Verses 24-26, timeless beloved words of benediction. By what signs can I become aware of God’s face shining on me today?

Acts 9:23-31. Verses 26-28, Barnabas gambles when others play safe. What risk, what venture outside my comfort zone, might Jesus be asking me to take today? First step?

Mark 6:45-52. Verse 52, what significant proof of God’s care in 2018 may I be forgetting amidst the challenges of 2019? Present application?
