Bible Thursday 6/13: Into Battle

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 71:1-24. Verses 5 and 9, what’s my biggest regret or sorrow from younger days? What’s my greatest goal or concern from the years remaining to me? How shall I bring these to God in prayer today?

Leviticus 3:1-17. If this Aaronic priesthood is now replaced by Jesus, as we read in Hebrews, at what altar will Jesus meet me today, and what am I to bring him?

I Corinthians 14:6-19. Verse 8 KJV, what specific battle must I fight today with God’s help? What’s the trumpet call I must heed for direction and protection?

John 17:20-26. Verse 21, how can my church do more for the oneness of all who follow Jesus, regardless of denomination? My role?
