Bible Wednesday 10/21: Bondage Broken

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 120:1-7. Verse 2, what are some lies about my country, my faith, and myself that Satan is urging upon me and God alone can deliver me from?

Nehemiah 8:1-18. Their wall rebuilt, God’s people tearfully rededicate themselves to Scripture. What would another great awakening or revival in America look like? My church’s role? My role?

Galatians 6:11-18. Verse 14, related question for each individual, by what signs could others see that I and the world are crucified to each other? Verse 17 KJV, same point, what are the marks of the Lord Jesus?

Luke 13:10-17. Verse 16, from what bondage shall I pray today that Jesus will liberate me or someone dear to me?
