Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 42:1-11. Verse 2 KJV, in everyday terms, how have I experienced this thirst of the soul? In what specific way does God meet that need?
Isaiah 21:1-17. Verses 5-12, if I undertake to be one of God’s watchmen, what does he expect of me? What am I watching for?
Revelation 2:1-7. Verse 4, has the love I once felt for God, and the way I lived it out, weakened or cooled at all?
Luke 20:1-8. Have I seen my fellow Christians try to straddle or sidestep vital points of truth and right? How am I susceptible to this same temptation to offend no one, play it safe?
