Bible Tuesday 12/1: Be Ready

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 83:1-18. Thinking of the individuals or groups who are enemies to me or my country, what do I want God to do with them? What is the difference between loving my enemy and surrendering to him?

Isaiah 36:1-22. Verses 11-15, propaganda intended to frighten and subdue God’s people. What form does this take at the present time? What is the antidote?

Revelation 9:13-21. Verse 20, mass death still leaves multitudes unrepentant. What is God trying to get my attention about, that I may repent before it’s too late?

Luke 21:25-28. If I knew I had only this month until Christ’s return, how would I use the time?
