Bible Thursday 12/17: Good Tidings

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:1-48. Verse 9, with so many younger Americans rejecting God, what is my church doing about it? My role?

Isaiah 52:1-15. Verse 7, if a neighbor asked me today to tell him, in a minute or two, why I believe the child born in Bethlehem is the ultimate good news, what would I say? And based on the way I live, how credible would it be?

Revelation 18:1-8. Is there in my heart a Babylon, a stronghold defying God, that needs to be broken in order for me to be the person He intends me to be?

Luke 23:36-43. As I anticipate being with Jesus in paradise, how does that make today different?
