Bible Monday 12/28: Adoration of the Magi

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 143:1-12. Verse 10 KJV, how teachable am I really, under God’s hand? How alert to his summons? How focused when the lesson is presented? How eager to please him in learning well?

Isaiah 63:1-19. Verses 7-9, this week as God weighs what I say and think about all the experiences of 2020, does he find me to be a grateful or an ungrateful child?

Revelation 20:11-21:8. Verses 4-6, what is there in my life right now that I especially pray Jesus would take in hand, refresh with the water of life, make new?

Matthew 2:1-18. Why does the Jesus whom people encounter through my church or through me seem so much less attractive to outsiders than did the child of Bethlehem to the Magi? Action point?
