Bible Friday 12/11: God's Got This

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 105:1-45. Verse 15 KJV, if the God of the universe commands on my behalf today, “Touch not my anointed,” what all am I protected from?

Isaiah 46:1-13. Verses 3 and 4, God’s complete plan for my life. Verses 9 and 10, God’s complete plan for the world. What specific worries or concerns does this relieve me of?

Revelation 14:14-20. Christ harvesting the grapes of wrath. How can I trust or adore such a God? Where’s the love, where’s the grace? What does this God require of me today?

Luke 22:47-53. What does the sword have to do with the saving work of Jesus Christ? What contrarian approach is Jesus asking me to take amid the stormy emotions of these times?
