Bible Tuesday 2/25: The Pearl

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 136:1-26. Two dozen ways the Psalmist saw God’s mercy enduring forever. Can I list a dozen of my own right now?

Jeremiah 22:1-30. Israel’s choice of two courses of conduct and their consequences. What specific choice does God put before me today?

Romans 9:14-26. Verse 26, related, haven’t I, my family, my church, given God reason to say we’re not his people? Hasn’t he, even so, kept on loving us? Conclusion?

Matthew 13:44-52. If a non-believing friend asked me why I consider Jesus the ultimate treasure, the priceless pearl, how would I explain it to them in everyday terms?.
